Healthwatch Coventry is your local health and social care champion.

We are independent, so people trust us and tell us what they think. We hear from people about NHS and social care services, so we’re uniquely placed to understand what is happening. This means NHS leaders and other decision-makers take notice of what we say.

Reaching out to our community

We make great effort to listen to the experiences of a diverse group of people in the Coventry community.

We considered what will help people to feel welcome, find their way and know what to expect in a discussion group of local people.

Read about how our visits to care homes improved the lives of those who live there and made sure health needs were addressed.

We visit to find out how services are run and to make sure residents can voice what it is like to live there. From our findings, we look to report a snapshot of users' experiences.

We worked with local voluntary group Carriers of Hope to understand experiences of maternity care  of refugee and newly arrived women

This led to lots of improvements to communication,  joining up support, help with transport costs and a new direct email referral route for maternity care for women not registered with a GP.
