Changes to prescription charges
From 1 May 2024 the prescription charge will increase
The prescription charge will increase by 25p to £9.90 for each item. However, some people are entiltled to a free prescription. These include if you are:
- Over 60
- Under 16
- Between 16 and 18 and in full time education
- Pregnant or had a baby in the previous 12 months
