Enter and View: St Martins Nursing Home
We visited St. Martins nursing home to ensure that people who may be vulnerable and less able to raise their voices have the opportunity to speak to Healthwatch Coventry, and to look at how residents' physical health needs are supported.
We spoke to one Manager, four members of staff, 6 residents and four visitors.
Our recommendations:
1. Ensure that yellow bagged waste is removed and is not left loose outside the home
2. Appoint an Activities Co-ordinator or provide additional cover so that staff can focus on this area of their work (if staff feel that they have the skills necessary encourage this)

5. Highlight the edges of the steps from the seated area to the dining room area
6. Review the storage of equipment in the lounge and ensure up to date risk assessment
